I am a Soft Tissue Therapist who uses muscle testing to show what needs focus with soft tissue intervention. After years of running, cycling, golf, gym going and dealing with the stresses of work, I understand the frustrations of how loss of mobility, pain, illness and stress impacts us both physically and mentally.
Life and our priorities change as we age but ongoing maintenance is fundamentally essential to keep us mobile and active.
I am extremely passionate about what I do, offering only a few appointment spaces each day to allow a focussed approach to appointments.
Working from home with my two Border Terriers Bruce & Flora at my clinic in Bishopbriggs, my aim is to holistically help clients achieve optimal health and wellness through regular soft tissue appointments and advice on improving and maintaining mobility.
Whether you are regular gym goer in your 20's, working mum or dad chasing one appointment to the next, veteran runner in your 70's or just someone who enjoys a walk after work I can help.
Using a range of modalities we can utilise:
Working closely with local chiropractic and wellbeing professionals, if there is anything I feel you would benefit outside of my treatment room I will advise and refer on. There is no 'One' magic treatment that can help everyone, but the correct interventions at the right times will benefit everyone.
After your initial contact, we will arrange an appointment to carry out a consultation and agree on a treatment plan for you. I focus on muscle testing to allow the body to show us where it is inhibited or requires input, and alongside our treatment you can regain full potential.
My approach is measured and varied, taking into consideration mindset, gender, mental health, age and neurodivergence.
Looking to improve mobility, ease tension, reduce pain and relax?
After carrying out a consultation to look over your current health and activity levels, we will work through muscle testing to let the body show us where it is inhibited. We will then discuss the best approach to get you moving at your optimum.
Using massage techniques, cupping, mobilisation and assisted stretching we will target the areas of inhibition then can advise on stretches and movements to help you between appointments.
Recommended as a follow up appointment after initial consultation, we will continue with our plan.
After an initial discussion on how you have been feeling and moving since our last appointment, we will check ranges of movement and then focus on the soft tissue work. Typically there is more treatment and less testing in follow up appointments as we continue with the plan.
A shorter appointment suitable for a sports massage prior to or after an event targeting a specific area, or to ease general tension in your arms, legs, neck or shoulders. Available only if we have been through a consolation previously.
A focus on mental health has become an essential part of company wellness programs. The connection between the mind and the body shows that even a short 10 minute massage can have a positive impact to improve stress levels, blood pressure, muscle tension, depression and anxiety, while boosting focus, energy and mental clarity.
We can provide seated massage without oils & fully clothed, or cater to a full treatment depending on your workspace and time requirements.
